“where are you located?”

I’m based in Laurel, Maryland, US. I often teach private lessons out of my home studio or at select local dance venues before the beginner class (Bethesda & Silver Spring, MD). Other locations can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis and may incur a travel fee.

“What if i don’t live in maryland?”

Not in Maryland? No problem! I offer virtual private lessons via Zoom and video critiques. I will do my best to meet your needs no matter where you are!

I’m also available for in-person private lessons during dance conventions/events on a first-come first-served basis. Send me a message to get on my schedule!

“Do I need to bring a partner?”

No, you do not need to bring a partner to lessons. In group classes, we often rotate partners and no partner is required to attend. For private lessons, I’m happy to partner with you, but I would recommend bringing a partner so that I can observe more of your dancing.

“How much do you charge?”

Event and group rates vary. But I’m always willing to discuss any financial concerns you might have for your event and am open to discussing ways to work within your budget to meet your community’s needs.

    W/ MARA FLORES | $80/hr

    Private dance instruction with Mara Flores. Great for trying out a session or getting help on something specific. Recommended to bring a partner for most value.

  • DUO Single Lesson

    W/ Mara Flores & Brandon Julian | $120/hr

    Private dance instruction with Mara & Brandon. Work with both a lead and follow instructor - ideal for understanding connection, partnership, and technique from both perspectives. No partner required.

  • SOLO PACKAGES

    3-LESSON STARTER PACK | $230 ($10 savings)

    A solid short-term plan to build comfort with the basics and refining fundamental technique. Must be used within 2 months of purchase.

    5-LESSON PROGRESS PACK | $375 ($25 savings)

    Ideal plan to work towards a specific goal within social dancing or for competition prep. Must be used within 3 months of purchase.
